The Sharing of Knowledge
The SHARE association is based in Monaco and benefits from the support and recognition of the Prince, H.S.H. Prince Albert II. SHARE is also the recipient of the Ethica Award 2019, awarded by the EuroPCR community to recognize ethical initiatives in the field of cardiovascular care.
Experienced cardiologists commit their personal time to train cardiologists in their specialties by sharing their experience, knowledge, and practice. Possibly, on-site missions can be organised to support local teams,. SHARE is a non-profit organization working for over 15 years to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. Its mission is to train and educate comprehensive cardiovascular medical teams (doctors, technicians, nurses, management, administrative staff, etc.) in sub-Saharan African countries, to make cardiovascular units autonomous (interventional), thereby reducing the impact of cardiovascular diseases on populations (adults and children) and expanding healthcare services.

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality worldwide, and Africa — 14% of the global population — is the continent with the greatest shortage of facilities for the care and treatment of these conditions.
It is time to create autonomous structures in Africa, and this requires strong support for the training of physicians and cardiovascular teams, being as concrete and as close to the field as possible.
